Gillian Hohenwald knows magic isn’t real. Her mother was delusional, as are her sister and aunts who claim to be witches—and who claim she’s one, too. Like her father, Gillian believes there are rational, scientific explanations for all so-called paranormal phenomena. She’s determined to find them, starting in the odd little town of Magic, New Mexico. What she doesn’t expect to find is a sexy dragon shifter from another dimension.
Aiden Silver fled his dimension, Tarakona, before the ruling wizards could indenture him and steal his dragon magic. He’s been hiding in the enchanted earth town of Magic, New Mexico ever since, plotting a way to rescue his sister, Nadia. When an alluring—and possibly mad—earth scientist captures him, she accidentally lets a powerful wizard slip through the interdimensional portal linking earth and Tarakona.
Now they must form an uneasy alliance to stop the wizard from his conquest of earth while making sure their attraction doesn’t distract from the mission. But can science and magic blend seamlessly, or will the mixture prove more explosive than any dimension can handle?
Double your dragon love with Jody Wallace’s companion book, Silver Bound, also in the Magic, New Mexico Kindle World. Whilst both books can be read alone, they are best read together. Silver Bound is first, followed by Silver Unleashed.
Kady Ayininkizi, your anything but average curvy geek girl, has isolated herself in her brand new tiny house in the mountains because she’s tired of being bullied by the alphaholes of the world.
The spaceship that crashes in her backyard brings the first alien she’s ever encountered, make that the sexiest alien, ever.
When he insists she help him get to some weird place called Magic, New Mexico, she is determined to outwit the men in black in spite of the growing attraction that she knows will never come to fruition.
Black Barrett can’t lead his elite team of shape-shifting Star Rangers on their mission to stop the scourge that is the spectral soul stealers if he can’t get to Magic, New Mexico.
His best bet is the luscious witch who doesn’t seem to know how to use her powers, but has earth’s lawmen running in circles with her sexy-as-hell smarts.
But, when her powers surface and bring the spectrals down around them in force, he must choose.
Save his one true love that the Fates have brought him, or save the universe.
Once upon a time in the not so distant future… or past… well, one of those… there lived a mighty mob of emus….
Yes, I can hear your brain screeching to a stop as you reread the introduction. The answer to your question is yes, large groups of emus are called mobs. Of course, that brings up all kinds of wonderful images in your head: The Boss emu ordering the unlikely demise of a poacher intent on capturing them, an army ready to do battle against the huge mob of emus (BTW, this really happened in 1932 in Australia – the winner: the emus!), or the emus coming to the rescue. Oh, just think of all the lovely stories that can be written for the mysterious and mighty bird that hatch from the eggs a little Dragonling carried home.
It is funny how some things just come to you. They often say right about something you know. Well, I’m no expert on emus, but it helps that we pass by a friend’s house that raises them. The stories Tom has told us about his attempts to raise emus for meat which quickly turned to them all having names and being pets has amused me for years. When I wrote The Dragonlings’ Very Special Valentine and The Great Easter Bunny Hunt, I knew I had to write Pearl’s story – and include the very unusual eggs that were brought back from Earth.
In Pearl’s Dragon, we get to meet the unlikely heroes who are as protective of their dragon friends as the dragons are of them. A clutch of eggs from Earth, a misunderstanding, love between an old dragon and his true mate, a couple of mischievous younglings, poachers, and a lesson in how to be the perfect mate come together in Pearl’s Dragon: Dragon Lords of Valdier.
