  • Laura says:

I have been binge listening to your books at work for a week straight!!!! All of them!! I started with Valdier but have expanded out now. You have a fantastic writing style. You make me laugh and cry and cheer, its amazing. Keep up the amazing writing! That publisher was a fool for not picking you up.

    • S.E. Smith says:

Yay!! Thank you, Laura! I’m lucky enough to have some amazing narrators as well who really bring my stories to life. Sometimes what seems like a bad (not being picked up) is actually a good thing overall. Now, I can write the stories I love without someone telling me what I can and can’t write.

  • Ava says:

Anthologies like Pets in Space are only available for a limited time, but have all the stories you wrote for those eventually become solo titles? If so, which of your books started as Pets in Space stories?

    • S.E. Smith says:

Hi Ava. Yes, they all eventually have come out—except for my first story A Mate for Matrix. I plan on expanding it to full length because it ties into my Zion series.

  • Angi Taylor says:

I’m re-reading the Dragon Lords of Valdier, and just finished for the love of tia. At the end it said to be continued with Tamblin’s Prize. Where is that book? And this is my favorite series ever! 💖💖

    • S.E. Smith says:

Hi Angi. I’ve changed the name of Tamblin’s Prize to The King’s Quest which comes out first in Pets in Space 5 this October!

  • Denise says:

All worth buying and SO worth re-reading

  • Sharon says:

I get terrible headaches if I read for too long so I am getting whatever of your books on audio that I can. I discovered you on Audible escape and now slowly buying them for my permanent library. Your books are great. I like the humor. I don’t laugh out loud when listening to a book but yours have caused more than one inquiry from family about what I am laughing about. I hope to eventually have all your books in my library. You have a wonderful talent and your books are all worth waiting for. I hope you are doing well Take care of yourself and stay safe.

    • S.E. Smith says:

Hi Sharon. Thank you so much. My heart goes out to you. My daughter has the same issue with headaches. I’m thrilled you are enjoying the stories. I’ll give credit to my dad for my sense of humor. <3

  • Miranda says:

I love all your books and have re-read most of them numerous times. My very favourite is Gracie’s Touch, that book gets to me every time. I have read it about 7 times so far and get something new out of it each time. The selfless spirit of a true hero.
I also love Riley, her self confidence and her take on life are precious.
The thing I enjoy most about your books are the strong female characters, I wish I was more like them. I’m hanging out for another Zion Warrior book but all the best things are worth waiting for!
I’m an Aussie, have you thought about having an Australian character (a nice person not some villain) in one of your books?

    • admin says:

Hi, Miranda! It is Narelle here stepping in for Susan as she is heads down writing on a story. Susan’s next books on her writing list after The Monster’s Caress are:
      * Dark Prince’s Prize: Curizan Warriors Book 2 (Adalard) and then
      * Rorrak’s Revenge: Zion Warriors Book 3

Snap!! I am an Aussie too! And I think Susan should write an Aussie hero too! We can give her the right words to use lol.
      Cheers Narelle

  • Sharon K says:

Right then. Choosing Riley has caused problems. Random spurts of laughter causing coffee to fly. The need to check my own gawd awful coats and protect them just in case of the wee house cat. Checking that my taser is charged and ready. Just one hoot after another! That poor Vox. God love him. Keep up the great work! David Brenin does the perfect Southern drawl and his range of voices are amazing. I have been listening to the books of the Valdier in order of events and it has been a wonderful diversion from work where folks are starting to just whine and complain more and more.

It’s a virus ya’ll, not armageddon. It’s only a mask for the little bit of time that you are shopping or more time when you are working, not the crazy hot isolation suit this “maturely rounded” woman has to wear for possibly infected patients only to find that they are bored and just need attention or for those that are truly ill. Deal with it and this too shall pass. I hear that we are heroes. Phhtt, just doing a job that needs to be done, just like everyone else that is “essential.” Some eat that stuff up but most of us just want things back to normal. However, my sanity is saved by my heroes (authors!!!) that take my mind somewhere else for a break and relief.

In response to a comment somewhere in here regarding “it doesn’t take 2 years to heal from a broken bone”, writing a book takes time, experience, and a good story. Duh. Nuff said. If it was easy I imagine more would be doing it! I tried it once. I got my great novel started on a typewriter, the ones that click and clack and do not have a cord, and got a few pages in when the lack of an outline, overall plot, and an ending got me in trouble. Besides, I have actually seen fractures take longer than 2 years to heal depending upon the severity including and not limited to eventually requiring amputation. Your response was classy. Take care of yourself and enjoy the work. I hope you never stop, but if you do, it just means it is time. Thank you for sharing your imagination and skill. This old medic needs the break.

    • S.E. Smith says:

One broken bone, no, but Miss Grace here broke both arms the first year and an ankle the next year as well as dealing with exhaustion. LOL. That you for your understanding and support. You sound just like my hubby. He was in the military and said it was a job, unless you were on the front lines. Riley is one of my favorite characters. She is absolutely perfect for Vox.

  • Mary says:

Hey I really loved the cosmos gateway series I just finished saving runt. Will you be writing writing more books for that series. I can see some of the characters have there own book like runts mom or the 2 friends of cosmos who were searching for the woman from the fortress, or the many other prime warriors.

    • S.E. Smith says:

LOL. Hi Mary, yes, there will be many more books in the Cosmos’ Gateway series. Garth, Rico, Runt’s mom, are just a few to come. <3

  • Melissa says:

Will you be writing a book about the dragolings as grown ups finding their mates?????

  • Agila says:

Hi………. your books are fantastic………… when when can we expect jarmen’s and jags stories ……….. waiting sooo long………

    • S.E. Smith says:

LOL. Soon! I have to finish Nali’s story first, then Adalard’s and then Jarmen’s will have my complete attention!

  • Sandra Träff says:

Love your books! Just listened to all three Project Gleise 581G in two days, when is the fourth and maybe fifth coming? 🙂

  • Anna Klemmensen says:

I really like Hunters story and everyone that follows. I hope the series is not over because it was so well done and I’ve read it a few times. I have read others in your collections but that one was the first and my favorite. I still monitor your website for all future books.

    • S.E. Smith says:

Hi Anna, nope it isn’t over! Jag’s story will be next and I have Trig and Cutter and a host of others that I want to write!

  • Tina says:

I’ve been waiting for along time for the next books in Lords of Kassis. Will you ever finish that setup?

  • Dulguun says:

Hi. I can’t seem to remember which book contains about a race of species that gathers knowledge through astral projection when their bodies are in stasis? And I absolutely love your series and books.

  • Cambron says:

Hello! Let me start off saying I love your books!!! You write a lot about polyamory relationships. Have you seen or experienced these types of relationships personally and do they really work long term?

    • S.E. Smith says:

LOL.Hi Cambron. First, let me start off saying thank you! I’m glad you are enjoying the stories. No, I may write about them, but I haven’t seen or experienced them. Can they work? If there is the right balance, yes. Would it be easy? No. Personalities are very complex. It is much easier to write about them in a fantasy or science fiction setting as I can build the world around the acceptance of it.

  • Betsy Bideler says:

    Hi Susan.
I just wanted to say YOU ROCK! When I first started reading e-books Choosing Riley was the very first book I read! One of my sisters loaned it to me. It was fabulous! So of course I had to buy it for myself. It’s a sort of painful anticipation waiting for one of your books to come out! So I am waiting, however impatiently, for Saving Runt! I hope you get back to feeling yourself soon. Take care. Betsy Bideler

  • P says:

Hello, sorry too hear you are still not feeling well per your admin staff. I am writing this because I really do enjoy reading the series you created. Cosmos gateway, Curizan Warriors, Dragon Lords & Dragonlings, Lords of Kassls,Sarafin Warriors, Aliance, and Zion Warriors. I have been awaiting per your listing for the next book within these series and my hope is that they do come out 2019. Thanks for the adventure within these books, started on the seven kingdoms hope for more of this as well. Not really a fan of audio to distracting again thanks for your stories, 😀 feel better so you can boogie on.

  • loretta says:

I’m reading many times your books. I have all and this is the best reading for my free time . I’m waiting for the next, I hope this is for Runt.

  • Vicki says:

Hi! Please make a continuation to Ella: More than Human series!!! Thank you

  • April Evans says:

I love all of your books. I can’t tell you how many times I have re-read them. In fact I’m reading Lord’s of Valdier right now. I never get enough. My go to books. I was reading through the comments and am so happy to hear about all the new ones coming out soon. Happy dance time. Thank you so much for all your wonderful books and the joy they bring me. Wishing you all the best.

  • April says:

I love the Dragon Lords of Valdier / Dragonlings of Valdier / Curizan Warriors / Marastin Dow Warriors / Sarafin Warriors books. I was just wondering about a due date for the next dragonlings book. I am addicted to all of these books. Even just a hint if you can .😊

    • S.E. Smith says:

Hi April, thank you so much. I can tell you that I’ll have Aikateria’s story, Adalard’s story, and a Dragonlings story out this year. I have a lot of writing to do, but the stories will definitely be worth it!

      • Necole says:

Thank you so much!! I love all your books, but have been waiting for Aikateria, Adalard and more Dragonling stories. I collect the ebooks and the audio books!

  • Jennifer Reed says:

I’m addicted to ALL of your stories. I have a problem of checking your website almost everyday to see if anything has changed. I need help. Lol. My question is will Core’s Attack be available via audible soon? And besides the Heart of The Cat, what should I look forward to next? Thank you so very much!

    • S.E. Smith says:

LOL. Thank you, Jennifer! You have definitely made my morning. Core’s Attack is scheduled with the narrator for April. You can expect Saving Runt (I know, FINALLY! LOL) this coming month. After that, I will be finishing Ruth and the King of the Giants and The Magic Shell. Both are part of the Seven Kingdoms series. They are sceduled with David who has done the narrations for them for April as well. Then, expect Curizan, Zion, Kassis (2 books), and a just a few more! 🙂

      • Jennifer Reed says:

Hi! Sorry for the late response, I had a family emergency. It’s all good now. But thank you for the response! I’ll have to find some sort of rehab in the meantime! I admire your imagination. To someone who doesn’t really have one, it baffles my mind how you put it all together. I admire you and the work you do. You give me reprieve from the daily mental exhaustion. Thank you!

  • Donna says:

I have everyone of your books. I had major surgery in August and was in the hospital for a week and then homebound for two weeks. I re read everyone of the ones I had. Yours and M.K. Eidem. I love your stories and I am looking forward to Ull’s story and Stephanie’s story. Also Barek and Amina. I also love that I don’t have to sift through your grammar, spelling, and syntax mistakes. You do a great job as a story teller, and you must have a a wonderful group helping you to edit. Thank you for gifting your readers such as me with such a fantasy world.

  • Steve says:

I stumbled upon your books through audible. I was reading…..listening to all of Robyn Carr’s books ( the free ones, then 1 credit a month ) when I had to choose another venue in the Romance Package ( my wife’s choice first ). I found dragons in the package, hmm.
    I’m hooked.
So far, I have Abducting Abby and Abducting Cara.
My question; is there a book/series that explains more about the symbiots ?
    Thank you in advance.

    • S.E. Smith says:

Hi Steve. Thank you so much for your feedback and hugs to your wife! You learn more and more about them in each book, but Paul’s Pursuit is probably the most detailed. Aikaterina’s story is coming up next in the series and that is where you will learn about their origins.

  • Annmarie says:

I was gonna get your coloured colouring book but can’t afford $60.00 for it.

  • Annmarie says:

I have and have read all of your books. Absolutely love them so much so that I started to re-read my whole collection. I can’t get enough. Very hard to wait for your next books coming out. Looking forward to getting them through kobo.

  • Sandra says:

Read them all over and over again, never get tired of them, there’s plenty of them to keep me going till the new releases come out. Keep em coming girl, love em 😍😍😍😍

  • Rosemary says:

In what book did Spring and Phoenix get their own symbiot ?

    • admin says:

Each Dragonling were given a small amount when they were born but you don’t really hear about their symbiots until the Halloween books.

  • Lisa says:

    Hello,

Is there a book about Audrey, the OB.GYN?

  • Denise Lane says:

I have been reading the Dragon Lords of Valdier/Curizan Warriors/Marastin Dow Warriors/Sarafin Warriors Series’ for the last couple of months. Just started Twin Dragon’s Destiny & in the cast of characters in the front there are a whole lot of people listed that are not on the book list such as Grandma Pearl & Asim, Jaguin & Sara Wilson, Olis “Ray” & Mabel Lister – where are those stories? & when did Paul & Morian have a daughter?

BTW: Absolutely the best books I have read in years. Loving me all S.E. Smith books. Thank you Denise

    • S.E. Smith says:

Hi Denise! Have you read the Dragonling stories? You’ll see more in them. Grandma Pearl was first introduced in Choosing Riley, then reappeared in Viper’s Mate, and several of the Dragonling stories – including the Dragonlings’ Easter where Asim first sees her. Asim was introduced in Ambushing Ariel. Jaguin was in Tracking Trisha and is one of the trackers who was searching for her. Sara was in Carmen’s story at the end. Olis and Mabel appear in Twin Dragons’ Destiny. Paul and Morian have Morah in The Old Dragon of the Mountain (I think, LOL). I love Morah in The Dragonlings and the Magic Four-Leaf Clover. She is a hoot! I’ve started adding the cast of characters based on requests from readers.

      • Jennifer Huhn says:

I was nodding my head. Then I realized that I’m trying to work out how the stories(series) collide. I am re-reading everything again. Actually using the audible books so I can listen on my commute. What are the timelines for Alliance, Zion, Kasis, etc? I just know they cross somewhere. Love the books

Hi Ms. Smith, Any idea when the book about the twin dragons mentioned in Pets in Space 2 will be released? I’m really looking forward to reading their story!

  • Leslie says:

[* Shield plugin marked this comment as “trash”. Reason: Failed GASP Bot Filter Test (checkbox) *]
where do the free books fit in the series? specifically:
    Dragonlings day at the beach
    the breakfast run
    tilly gets her man

    • S.E. Smith says:

The Dragonlings stories are short ones – basically a glimpse of a day in their life. You can read them at any time once you’ve read the Dragon Lords or as a stand alone without reading the series. Tilly Gets Her Man is the story of how Tilly and Angus Bell (Tink, Hannah, and Tansy’s parents) met. You can read it at anytime as well.

    Hi
Love your books. When is the book: “jarmens jane doe” going to be published?

    • S.E. Smith says:

I’m a little behind because I can’t walk right and don’t bounce worth a dang. Do to being clumsy, I broke one arm and sprained the other. I’m on the mend and back on track. Expect things to run about 2 months behind.

      • Susan Mort says:

If we were meant to bounce God would have made us a little bit more spring like. But I’m glad you didn’t break any more bones than you did. Just got done reading your Alliance books except for the newest one and am eager to read Jarmen’s books since he kind of crosses in the storyline like a shadow. Would love to see how that worked out. And would love to see the women in the Kassian world and Alliance world come together. Fun city.

        • admin says:

Thank you, Susan. I am doing well now although my wrist does hurt when I type too much in any one day. Jarmen’s story will be out at the end of this year and there are more stories coming in all my worlds. The Worlds are coming together.

  • Beverly VanBurger says:

Was wondering when will the book on the first set of twins will be coming out as I love all your books Twin Dragons’ Destiny

    • S.E. Smith says:

Hi Beverly. Twin Dragon’s Destiny will be out next year. I’m working on a series of stories at the moment that I’ve promised to finish. I swear the days speed up to just see if they can trick me.

  • Shanise Kelley says:

I love how your different series wind together. Do you have a reading order list for how Lords of Kassis, The Alliance, and Magic, New Mexico are supposed to be read?

    • S.E. Smith says:

The best way is order of events (or release). LOL. I’m glad you posted! My sister just told me I needed a printable checklist for readers as well. I never know how a story will cross until the characters pop their heads up and say guess what! But, if you read the Lords of Kassis in order, then Touch of Frost, then the Alliance, you will be pretty much on track.

  • Christine Penzel says:

I just finished ‘Ha’ven’s Song’ and you mention a book coming out about Adalard and Samara’s relationship called ‘The Dark Prince’s Prize’. Is that still in the works? If so, when will it be published? Thank you, Susan!

  • Christine Penzel says:

Your most devoted readers (myself included, of course) are breathlessly awaiting the promised release of ‘Roarrk’s Revenge’.
I’m dying to find out how the many threads in the previous two books come together in the end. I see no mention of this book at all on your website. Can you give us any inkling of a release date? Thanks so much!

    • S.E. Smith says:

I have two books ahead of it. I’m finishing up one that I think you’ll be excited about. I’ve been working on cleaning up so of the stories I had already begun to clear things up a bit, but it will be this year! 🙂

      • Sonya says:

I know you are working hard for us and i love you for it. Is there any update on Rorraks Revenge? Rereading the Zion series and loving it.

    • Christine Penzel says:

Looking forward to it. I can’t wait!

  • Vickie says:

Hello! I would like to know if you have finished the Heart of the Cat? If so, when can we expect publication? I really love all your books, thank you so much!

    • S.E. Smith says:

Hi Vickie! Thank you for your post!
Heart of the Cat will be out early next year. I have a full line up of stories coming out this year already, but it will be high on my to finish list!

  • DEANNA says:

When does the next spirit pass book come out?

    • S.E. Smith says:

Hi Deanna. While the Spirit Pass series isn’t my highest performing series, I still love it. Maikoda and Aleaha’s story will be coming up. I’m not exactly sure when, but you and several others have asked, so that means it is worth writing the next book! I should have a better grasp on my schedule in the next several months and will post a more definitely release date as soon as I can. xoxox

  • Susie D says:

Will more books be available on Scribd? Could you at least put Hannah’s Warrior and Cornering Carmen there? It is annoying to only get part of the series (esp Hannah’s Warrior because the cover is there but the title is not). Thanks!

    • S.E. Smith says:

I’m not sure what is going on there. I’ll have to check. It is should be. Where are you going to order?

      • Jaime L. Dawson says:

Huge Fan here! Love All Your Stories! I try to read them in order, Thanks for the lists on your site. It helped me find books. On Audible, (which I love, since I listen as I work, cook and craft) but on Audible, they have variations on your name. It hinders the search. Spaces in between your initials and such.
        ie; S. E. SMITH,
        S.E. SMITH, S.E.SMITH.
Not all books come up under the same “name” and they filter in
        S.D. Smith books. 😒
        On Audible, Nook, & Kindle.
Don’t want you to miss out on $$, or Happy Readers.
        Much Love!

        • S.E. Smith says:

Hi Jaime, thank you for sharing this. I use S.E. (together) but some distributors refuse to place the letters together. It messes with their databases according to them. It is frustrating and I’m working on a solution.

  • Cindi Phillips says:

Will there be another Cosmo’s book?

  • Audi says:

Will you be updating the reading order to add the new releases? Specifically for the Lords of Valdier and the spin offs. Thanks for the great stories and hours of fantastic entertainment!! 🙂

  • Jack says:

I can’t wait for your next installment of any of your series, I’ve read them all and I’m restarting the alliance Series since you released barber’s story. Keep up the great writing ?

  • Jessica says:

Hi, I’m a huge audible nut and while looking for something new I found Tinks Neverland and I was hooked! It’s hard to find this genre not YA. I’m listening to the alliance series now. The end of book 1 leads me to think I should get book 3 next, but would that be a mistake? Can’t wait for the rest of the audio books to come out!

    • S.E. Smith says:

Hi Jessica! Thank you so much for your lovely post. You should get Razor and Kali’s story as they play a big part in Dagger’s story. You can listen to Dagger’s story without Razor and Kali, but you’ll find that Razor and Kali play a role in what happens in Dagger’s story.

  • Fiona says:

Just listened to the first three Alliance books and read the fourth – I am hooked! These are great! Also, kudos to your narrator: he is super! Going to start back and read everything else from your list by events. Thanks slept writing these, each gets better and better. XOXO.

  • Molly says:

I hope this makes sense … Is there a reading order for the book that are interconnected ?
