By visiting our site and/ or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms of Service”, “Terms”), including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink. These Terms of Service apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and/ or contributors of content.
All transactions on the Montana Publishing House website are in United States Dollars.
Secure Online Payment
The payment process is protected by industry standard encryption so we can ensure no one can intercept your credit card details. You are protected while buying on line at Montana Publishing House. Our online merchant is Stripe.com and our payment gateway is Visa and/or PayPal.
The payment process is protected by industry standard 128 bit SSL (SecureSocket Layer) encryption between the customer’s browser and the Montana Publishing House website and again between the Montana Publishing House website and the payment gateways. This prevents transaction information from being intercepted as it travels between the respective servers/computers.
Customer credit card details are collected at each order and are never stored on the Montana Publishing House web server in any format. This eliminates the risk of customers’ financial information being accessed by any third-party.
Website Log Ins
All customer account passwords are stored using a one-way encryption algorithm (MD5). No passwords are ever stored as plain-text.
Refund & Returns
We hope that you are happy with your purchase from Montana Publishing House however sometimes things don’t go right and here is our Policy:
What can I return for a refund?
We will replace or refund items that are faulty such as collectibles. We will exchange but not refund items that are the wrong size.
What cannot be returned for a refund?
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned:
* eBooks
* Paperback books with obvious signs of use
* Gift cards
* Downloadable software products
* Health and personal care items, Intimate or sanitary items
* Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines
* Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases
* Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
Any Free Plus Shipping Items on our site do not qualify for refunds, unless received damaged, or broken, and proof with an image is sent to our Customer Support and verified.
Any Custom Printed Items on our site do not qualify for a refund.
Our Refund Policy is valid for 30 days from the date of your purchase. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
For non-ebook items, once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you received notification from us that a refund has been made and you have not yet received your refund, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company as it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you have done all of this and you still have not received your refund, please contact us at sesmith@montanapublishinghouse.com.
Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.
Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and s/he will find out about your return.
Returns & Exchanges
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. All returns and exchanges must be unworn, all labels are attached and that you take care to protect the garment when posting.
To complete your return or exchange, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
What if an item is faulty?
We take great pride in our goods and packaging so we certainly hope that you never receive a faulty item from us. If, on the rare occasion this does occur, please contact sesmith@montanapublishinghouse.com to let us know. If available, Montana Publishing House will happily replace a faulty item or provide a refund for the faulty item.
Montana Publishing House is responsible for postage so you can return a faulty item to us. Montana Publishing House will send out a pre-paid postbag for you to return the item in. If you choose to send your faulty item back in your own pre-paid postbag, we will send a replacement pre-paid postbag in with your swapped item.
Starting the Exchange & Returns Process
If you would like to return or exchange an item, please email sesmith@montanapublishinghouse.com to let us know the item and reason for return or exchange. Do not return an item until we have contacted you.
If it is exchange, please advise the size or item you are after so that we can put it on hold for you. We are happy to hold items for one week. The last thing we want is for it to sell out before your return arrives!
For non-faulty items, you are responsible for paying for the postage to return the item to Montana Publishing House and for Montana Publishing House to post your new exchanged item to you. Please include a pre-paid postbag in with your returned item so Montana Publishing House can post your updated item to you.
Transit
We can not take responsibility for goods that are lost in transit. We recommend returning goods via a post bag which includes a tracking number or via registered mail to ensure their safety.
Shipping Returns or Exchanges

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
When returning items, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
