She was born on the streets; he was born to rule…

Sheikh Junayd Saif-Ad-Din wears the royal, sophisticated persona of wealth and power. He became a doctor to help his people, but his bloodline comes from the desert and a long line of warriors. His decorous veneer dissolves when he witnesses an attack while at a society function—and meets a mysterious woman who emerges from the darkness.

Despite living in a time when staying under the radar is a monumental task, Midnight Rain moves through society as an apparition. Her life was forged by the fires of the streets and she makes her living protecting others. She lives by two rules: she only works at night and she tries to stay alive.

Junayd is determined to find the enigmatic woman who appeared from out of the night. Positive that she is his Chosen, the woman he is destined to love, Junayd will use every resource available to find her.

From the dark streets of New York City to the beautiful desert kingdom of Jawahir, danger hunts Midnight and Junayd. Can two modern day warriors, one that lives in the shadows and one that thrives in the bright light of the desert, defeat the forces sent by a deranged man intent on killing them?

Teaser/Excerpt:

Midnight reached out and placed her hand on her sister’s. Junebug looked up, grimaced, and quit moving her seat. It didn’t bother Midnight, but Junebug had asked her to use the silent method to help her control her constant need to move.

“Jam-man is looking for you,” Junebug blurted out.

Midnight looked at her sister’s rosy cheeks. Junebug was staring at her eggs, moving the sweet peppers around on her plate. She knew her sister had a crush on another hacker she called Jam-man.

“Why’s he looking for me?” she asked.

Junebug’s body moved when she started swinging one foot back and forth. “He hacked into Albert Benning’s security system,” she said.

Midnight frowned. “That doesn’t mean he is looking for me. He could be working for Quest and trying to delete any evidence. It won’t work because you already sent it out,” she pointed out.

“Nope, he’s looking for you. A mysterious woman who lives in the shadows and beats up bad guys,” Junebug replied.

I am not one to leave reviews or messages but I did want you to know that I have loved reading your books and going away to the many places and planets in your wonderful books for many years now. What a gift you have in bringing all your characters to life. I just want you to know how much I appreciate that gift, that little getaway I get when I read your stories. So good to see you out and about and enjoying the Appalachian trail with your husband in mother nature at her finest. I’m sure you get many inspirations for your stories out there. Again mahalo for sharing your wonderful gift with us. Much love and appreciation always, Barbara Ann from Hawaii.

Thank you, Barbara. The Appalachian Trail was good for me. It has definitely given me a new appreciation for the pioneers who lived long before me. I needed the time to strengthen my mind and body. It also re-enforced how lucky I am to have Steve. He has been my pillar of strength. Mahalo. <3
