He was left to die. She was determined not to care.
Hokar Draken is seriously regretting his latest assignment. If he had known it would end with him injured, stranded, and left for dead on the edge of the universe, he would have let someone else volunteer. Now, only two things are keeping the Valdier warrior alive: collecting the credits owed to him…
And finding his true mate.
Chrissy Crossly has survived six months in captivity by becoming as sharp, stubborn, and dangerous as the alien creatures who stole her from Earth. She has one goal: get home. She doesn’t need a wounded dragon-shifter complicating her escape. Unfortunately, a wrong turn put them both on the same path.
Chrissy will do whatever it takes to survive—even if that means making a bargain with an injured warrior, his possessive dragon, and the alien gold creature that seems to have decided she belongs to them. What she doesn’t know is that once a Valdier dragon and his symbiot claim their mate, the man is never far behind.
Hokar may be wounded, but he is not helpless. Chrissy may be human, but she is not fragile. And together? They may be the most dangerous thing this forgotten corner of the universe has ever seen.
Life is about to get very interesting for two lost souls living on the edge of nowhere. The only question is…
Is the universe ready for them?

Horror locked in her throat when a dark, hideous shape emerged from the distortion.
She twisted in the sand to run, only to collapse to her knees when a sharp prick burned through her thigh. She pressed one hand into the sand to keep from kissing it as her vision wavered and a strange, lethargic warmth coursed through her body. She looked down and blinked at the metal tube that hadn’t been there a second ago.
Nausea roiled her stomach as she reached down and yanked free the narrow cylinder embedded in her thigh.
Through the haze, rage surged hot and sharp. Once again, some asshole was determined to stop her from living her dream.
Her head bobbed as the creature wrapped a scaly arm around her waist and threw her over its shoulder. The rage inside her hardened into determination as the creature carried her through the shimmering doorway. With the last of her strength, she lifted her hand and drove the cylinder into the creature’s back.
Its howl told her she had hit something sensitive.
With a guttural snarl, the creature dropped her. Chrissy hit cold, hard metal with a groan. Her head lolled to the side. Somewhere close, a second creature snapped and snarled at the first.
Two things registered as darkness dragged her under.
Whoever they were, they weren’t speaking English.
And the second?
Aliens were real.
Coming soon.
