Second Chance Series, Book 1
Can three hardheaded brothers come together to save the angel they love? Or will she be taken away?
Sometimes life begins after you die. At least it has for Lily O’Donnell. Lily O’Donnell had always wanted to find a love as beautiful as her parents had. When her father suspiciously dies in an accident and her mother is brutally raped and murdered Lily has to fight for her life. When she is trapped by the man who murdered both her parents and threatens to do to her what he did to her mother Lily feels she has only one choice to avoid a fate worse than death.
Reborn to help others, Lily reappears time after time to help families in need only to die again once the families no longer need her. Things change when Maggie Cunnings finally has enough of her three nephews’ attitudes. Wanting to go home to sunny Florida and leave the frigid winters of Wyoming behind, Maggie prays for a little help in teaching the Cunnings’ brothers how to live and love again. The Cunnings’ men aren’t the easiest to get along with. They’ve gone through six housekeepers in as many months. When Maggie hires Lily to be their new housekeeper sparks fly as the brothers and Lily learn that living and loving sometimes comes with no guarantees.
When a madman targets Lily believing she has the knowledge to make him an immortal the men have to come together as a family to help save the woman they love. Will they be able to save her and make her theirs or will she once again be taken away?
(Warning: This is a ménage romance between one determined angel and the three cowboys who love her).
A peek inside Lily’s Cowboys… Romance with a twist!
Laying the brush down on the vanity, Lily pulled out a ragged journal, opening it up to a new page.
Tonight all three brothers came together and talked. Allen has come so far in the past week. I will miss our quiet evenings together. Today I fixed up his bedroom upstairs as a surprise for him. He is so much stronger and getting stronger every day. I love watching him work with the horses when he thinks I’m not looking. He has a gentleness to him I’m sure he would deny. I could see the love he had for Caleb.
Caleb was a surprise. I don’t know why as I had studied the pictures of him hanging in Allen’s room. He was so much more everything. I could see the worry in his eyes for Allen. It has been hard on him, seeing his brother in pain and not being able to do anything about it. I didn’t want him to know how sweet it was of him thinking I was messing around with someone behind Allen’s back. He would probably have seen the humor in it as well if he knew I had never even been kissed before. He is so protective of his younger brother.
Ethan I am not sure about as I only had a few minutes to spend with him. I could tell Ethan wanted to protect his brothers from me, unsure of my intentions. I will have to reassure him tonight will not be repeated. Ethan’s whole demeanor speaks of control and authority. It will be hard to get him to let go. It seems like he has forgotten what it is like to just enjoy life. I will have to think about what I can do to help him enjoy the little things.
I received my first kiss tonight. I was so shaken I didn’t know what to do. This has never happened in any of my other lives. I will need to be careful as I don’t want the brothers becoming too attached to me. It will be hard enough when it is time for me to leave. My feelings are so confused. I wish I had someone to talk to.
Lily closed the journal and placed it back in her canvas bag. She turned off the light and climbed into bed. Tomorrow would be an interesting day with all three of the brothers finally home together.
