The war for the future has begun. The past will not be forgotten. Some bonds are forged in honor…

General Roan Landais was raised to be a weapon, forged in the fires of war by his father and uncle’s ruthless ambition. Now, branded a traitor, he’s hunted across the galaxy—by the very family that created him.

Dr. Julia Marksdale awakens in a distant world, thrust into a war she barely understands. With nowhere to turn, she’s forced to trust the one man whose loyalty is the most uncertain. Roan is ruthless, calculating, and everything she should fear. Yet, beneath the hardened soldier, she sees something else—a man fighting for more than survival. A man who may be the only hope of stopping an unstoppable weapon.

As the Legion prepares to unleash planet-killing technology, Roan and Julia must join forces with the Gallant rebels and Julia’s fellow Gliese survivors to strike before it’s too late. But in the cold void of space, second chances don’t exist—only the choice between defying fate or dying with it.

Join the Ancient Knights of the Gallant in the fight for freedom—and discover the power of hope in the darkest of battles.

Teaser/Excerpt:

They continued to study each other like a bull and the matador sizing each other up. She wasn’t sure which one she was. Her eyes flickered to the alien weapon attached to his hip.

I hope I’m not the bull.

Her lips twitched at the thought and an unexpected humor hit her. She bowed her head, breaking the connection with Roan.

She was startled when a pair of polished black boots suddenly appeared in her line of sight. She slowly lifted her head when she felt warm, strong fingers under her chin.

“You find this amusing?” he asked.

She released a breathless chuckle. “For a second, I had an image of a matador and a bull facing off. I was trying to decide which of us was which. Considering you’re armed and I’m not, it wasn’t looking too good for the bull.”
